Experiences Designed by Locals
Hi, I'm Inma. Welcome!
Hi! Nice to meet you 🙂 I’m Inma, the founder of this beautiful project, INMAMIND TRAVELS in Mallorca.
I was born on this wonderful island and have always been connected to the sea. I decided to start this venture to share my passion for TRAVELING and, above all, to share experiences with others.
From this space, I will strive to take the local experience to another level. What I love most when I travel is meeting locals and immersing myself in their culture and daily life. Mallorca is an incredible place, but unfortunately, it has become overcrowded and is often marketed as a destination for some as a party spot, low-cost, and unsustainable.
We need to go back to the basics and learn to respect what we have so that everyone can visit and enjoy it. For all these reasons, I invite you to follow my projects, retreats, activities, workshops, and much more.
So you can get to know me a little better.
I graduated in English Studies from UIB, completing my final year with an Erasmus+ scholarship in London. I have a master’s degree in teacher training and in 2019 I secured my position as a civil servant teacher specializing in English. Since 2020, I have been working at a vocational training center, which I am very proud of because we are a center of excellence in tourism, a very important sector here in the Balearic Islands. In addition to teaching English, I co-coordinate the international Erasmus+ project with my colleague, which allows me to combine two of my passions: education and travel. I believe that the opportunity to offer students the chance to experience mobility in a foreign country and see how it changes their lives is unparalleled.
Personally, I believe that travel changes you, especially when done in a more ‘local-friendly’ and respectful way. That is why I decided some time ago to start my own project focused on local and sustainable travel. The world of freediving and the sea has been instrumental in this endeavor. Seeing people around me who enjoy the sea and their work has been truly inspiring.
Since 2020, I’ve been practicing freediving, which has helped me improve in many ways, both mentally and physically. I’ve been able to compete in regional and national competitions and I am currently an advanced freediver. Freediving helps with many things, but above all, I love being in the water, feeling at peace, and merging with marine life.
I’m a very curious person who always wants to learn new things, so I can say that I’m not crazy about freediving, but I am passionate about experiences and new challenges. That’s why in this project, freediving is not the only activity; you’ll also find many other things that might interest you, as there are many things that interest me, and I want to share them with you.
I hope to meet you soon!
Sea you!
